Best Places to Park in Seattle

As Seattle continues to grow and transit races to catch up, parking in downtown Seattle can be a challenge at best. Many online parking sites offer an interactive experience to help you find a garage, compare rates, reserve a spot, and calculate your anticipated costs from arrival to departure time. Downtown Seattle Association

It makes sense that the association responsible for promoting an exceptional downtown experience would want to help ease parking for visitors. Here's what they provide:

  • Interactive parking map, including locations and rates
  • Links to the city’s e-park system, which shows real-time locations and available spaces
  • City-wide parking map and the paybyphone iPhone and Android mobile payment options for metered parking
  • A Commute Seattle page that helps businesses and commuters navigate downtown more easily

Seattle Best Parking

In addition to downtown garage parking, Seattle Best Parking shows options for free and metered on-street parking, as well as areas that are off limits for personal vehicles. Some garages allow reservations, which you can make from the site.

Using your phone? The site also offers a mobile option along with apps for iPhones, Androids and Blackberries. And if you’re traveling, you can choose your city from the home page.

Yelp

Yelp offers a list of downtown Seattle’s cheapest parking. The top three are:

Finally, if you’re headed downtown for Pioneer Square’s First Thursday Artwalk, you can find free parking. And if you’re headed to a game at Century Link or Safeco fields, check out rates by date and location at ParkingPanda.com (you can also purchase online).
