Is pre-qualifying different than applying for a loan?

Yes. While a pre-qualification does include a soft credit check, (for auto) it doesn’t require you to provide information about the specific vehicle you want to purchase. This makes it ideal if you’re still shopping around and want to narrow down your choices by knowing how much you may be able to borrow.

How long does it take to pre-qualify?

It takes most customers just a few minutes to fill out the online pre-qualification application, and you may get your answer within seconds. We will need to follow up with a phone call for more detailed information before a final credit decision can be made. 

I found the car I want to purchase, what are my next steps?

Congratulations! After finding the car you want, you can complete your loan application online.

If I'm pre-qualified, am I obligated to pay or do anything?

There is no cost or obligation to pre-qualify for an auto loan, personal loan, or credit card. This tool is meant to give you an idea of what you can pre-qualify for but you are not required to pay for the pre-qualification service and you are not obligated to act unless you choose to take out a loan with Aquila Standard.
