How do I send a payment to a person? (formerly Popmoney)
Scenario: I want to send a paper check to a payee one time. I do not intend to send more payments to the payee. Solution: I use the External Transfer feature in Online Banking or the Mobile App to send the check. Note: You must be enrolled in Bill Pay to make external transfers. How to Enroll in Bill Pay. To send a check to a payee:
- From the main navigation, click or tap Move Money, then External Transfers.
- Click the Payments tab, then the Add a Payee button.
- Select Pay an Individual, then click Next.
- Select the Mail a Check option, then click Next.
- Enter the Payee's mailing information, then click Next.
- Select the method by which you will receive a one-time activation code, then click Next.
- Once you receive the activation code, enter it into the field and click Next.
- Enter a payment amount, payment date, and click the Pay button. Your payment is now scheduled.
